Backups
Backups in Agent Studio give administrators tools to export, backup, and restore data from your PrimePilot deployment. This ensures you can maintain data portability, create regular backups for disaster recovery, and restore your system if needed.
Data export allows you to create backups of your deployment data in various formats. You can export data as JSON for complete data preservation, CSV for tabular data analysis, or as a ZIP archive containing all files and documents. The export scope is configurable, allowing you to include chats and messages, documents and files, knowledge sources, user data, and settings and configuration. You can perform one-time exports or schedule automatic exports at regular intervals to maintain up-to-date backups.
The storage overview section displays your current data usage, showing total storage consumption and breakdowns by data type including chats and messages, documents, and knowledge sources. This helps you understand your storage footprint and plan backup strategies accordingly. The export history tracks all data exports you've created, making it easy to locate and restore from previous backups.
Data retention policies allow you to configure automatic cleanup of old data, which can help manage storage costs while ensuring important data is preserved. You can set retention periods for chats, messages, documents, and inactive user accounts, with options ranging from 30 days to several years, or choose to never automatically delete data. These policies work in conjunction with your backup strategy, ensuring that data is backed up before being automatically removed.
For disaster recovery scenarios, you can restore data from previously exported backups. The restore process allows you to selectively restore specific data types or perform a complete system restore. It's recommended to maintain regular backup schedules and test restore procedures periodically to ensure your backup strategy is effective and your data can be recovered when needed.
