Knowledge Bases

Knowledge bases are collections of knowledge sources that train your RAG agents. Each knowledge source belongs to a specific agent instance, allowing you to build specialized knowledge bases for different agents.

Knowledge Source Types

You can add various types of knowledge sources to your agents:

  • Documents: Upload PDFs, Word documents, PowerPoint presentations, and other file formats
  • Websites: Add complete website URLs to extract and index content
  • Webpages: Add individual webpage URLs
  • Audio files: MP3, WAV, and other audio formats (with voice-to-text conversion)
  • Video files: MP4, AVI, and other video formats
  • Images: JPG, PNG, and other image formats (with OCR capabilities)

Processing

When you add a knowledge source, PrimePilot automatically processes it to extract text, generate embeddings, and index it in your vector store. The processed content becomes available to your agent for answering questions and providing information.

Managing Knowledge Sources

You can manage knowledge sources from the Knowledge section in your dashboard. You can add, update, activate, and deactivate knowledge sources as needed. Each agent maintains its own knowledge base, allowing you to keep different agents specialized for different domains or use cases.
